Tempe Beach Park

Spend a quiet afternoon at the park, where you can rent a bike, have a picnic, or take a paddle boat out to Tempe Town Lake. Facilities include a splash playground, biking paths, and volleyball courts.

Hayden Butte Preserve

Also known as “A Mountain”, the Preserve is among Arizona’s most popular outdoor areas, with stunning views of the city skyline and a collection of ancient rock art images drawn by the Hohokam, the earliest known inhabitants of the area, between approximately AD 750 and 1450.

Local groups such as the Boy Scouts, Arizona State University, and the City of Tempe are actively involved in restoring and preserving these petroglyphs.

Spanning 25 acres, the park is known for scenic trails such as the Leonard Monti Trail, which features a pave path with handrails.

SEA LIFE Aquarium

Located in Arizona Mills, SEA LIFE is among Arizona’s most popular family-friendly attractions. Meet the sharks, turtles, seahorses, manta rays, and exotic fish that call the aquarium home.

Highlights include the Interactive Tide Pool, Temple of the Seahorses, and Ocean View exhibits.

Tempe Diablo Stadium Complex

Opened in 1968, the stadium has 9,500 seats and offers breathtaking views of the Marriott Butte Resort and Gene Autry Field. It hosts the Arizona League Tempe Angels’ night games and serves as the spring training site for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
